I have been a creative person my entire life, I can not remember a time when I did not have a paint brush or pencil in my hand, I have always loved to draw and paint.

I started my business at 23yrs old, in 1995, just after graduating college and in those 28yrs I have created an extensive portfolio of custom hand-painted artwork and murals  in residential homes and businesses throughout New England, New York, Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands.  Over the years I’ve been recognized in numerous publications, including Cape Cod & Island Homes, Cape Cod Living, South Shore Living and South Shore Magazine, just to name a few.

My Story…

I was born and raised in Hingham, Massachusetts I developed a passion for drawing and painting from a very young age, inspired by my mother who was also an fine artist. With the encouragement and guidance from my Hingham high school art teacher, Mr. Bliss and my mother, I decided to pursue a career as a professional artist and enrolled at the Art Institute of Boston, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in Illustration/Commercial Art and minoring in Fine Art and Children's Book Illustration.

While attending AIB, I managed art galleries throughout Boston, the South Shore and Cape Cod.Learning how galleries run and understanding how to work with clients, after graduating I decided to open up my own Gallery on the South Shore.  Initially, the Gallery showcased my original artwork and prints featuring Boston and South Shore images. But, soon after opening I slowly expanded my inventory, venturing into the decorative painting industry, transforming old furniture into stunning new works of art for resale. The furniture and hand painted item on display in my storefront window, caught the attention of the public and Interior Designers in the area, which lead to the request for my first mural job!  This marked a turning point in my business, I slowly transitioned into a Mural and Decorative Painting company, specializing in custom hand-painted murals and furniture for residential and commercial properties. Opening an additional space to use as a workshop and house the custom furniture items.

In 2013, was the next shift in my business. I decided the change the name of my business to MacMurray Designs, re-open and expanding the Gallery in a new larger location, creating a warm welcoming environment to offer Art Classes to Children and adults.

MacMurray Designs Art Studios became a tranquil escape for so many Children & Adults to enjoy, relaxing and painting for 3 years.

In 2016, I decided to expand again and created MacMurray Art & Wellness Studios, in honor of my mother Rita MacMurray, she passed away December 25, 2015. Transforming a 10,000 sq ft building in Rockland Ma. creating a perfect collaboration, renting out space in the building to a Reiki Master, Hypnosis Therapist, Message Therapist, and renting to 110 Fitness, a boxing gym for people with Parkinson’s and other disabilities. At the studio I continued teaching art classes for children and adults, while incorporating art classes once a month to the gym’s Parkinson’s boxing members and the caretakers. As well as running, specialty Art & Wellness events to the public. It became a home away from for so many people for over 7 years.

May of 2023, was the next transitional shift in my business - selling the building and downsizing. I may open another studio someday soon, but for now I am focused on my commissioned artwork orders and custom mural work, while still continuing to teaching private and semi-private art lessons in my home studio, as well as, teaching group Watercolor Art Escape Workshops at the Frame Center in Hanover Ma. once a month.

Currently, I am working on a collection of Golf Course Artwork for private and public golf courses - see my Golf Landscape Painting page.
